Bento Asian Kitchen + Sushi, which describes itself as a “quick-casual pan-Asian” restaurant, is expanding in South Florida, adding locations in Boca Raton, Pembroke Pines and Dania Beach.

One new restaurant will be located at Park Plaza, which is off Military Trail near Glades Road, in the plaza anchored by Fresh Market in Boca Raton, according to a news release on Monday.

Another restaurant will be located at Pines City Center, a mixed-use development on the southwest corner of Palm Avenue and Pines Boulevard in Pembroke Pines. In addition to Bento, tenants at the center include Publix Super Market, Cooper’s Hawk winery and restaurant, and BurgerFi.

Both the Boca Raton and Pembroke Pines restaurants are scheduled to open in early 2019, the company said.

A third restaurant will open at Dania Pointe in Dania Beach, a mixed-use development with 1 million square feet of residential, retail, commercial and public event space. The opening is expected in the summer of 2019.

Bento co-founder Johnny Tung said Bento’s Davie location, which opened in 2016, has proven to be one of its top-performing restaurants. That indicated a demand for expanding the brand in South Florida.

The menu includes sushi, rice and noodle bowls, and boba teas. Dishes range in price from $8 to $11. Bento is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, and also offers takeout, delivery and catering.

The Orlando-based restaurant company has a total of nine restaurants in Florida. Bento said it also is looking at locations in Miami, Palm Springs and Palm Beach for future expansion.
