Thirsty for an exclusive Bento x Corkcicle canteen to help keep you and your drink cool all while helping keep the Earth green? We’ve got you covered.
In case you haven’t heard, we at Bento teamed up with our good friends and fellow-Orlandoan, Corkcicle.
It was a no-brainer for us to partner with Corkcicle because they believe in creating products that help reduce personal impact on the planet – and ultimately strive for a better tomorrow. Count us in.
Corkcicle is best known for its award-winning canteens and tumblers. In a highly-hydrated market, the design of their products have an edge.
“In between the two walls of stainless steel, there’s a third layer that keep drinks cold for up to 20 percent longer than other insulated bottles and cups,” explains Corkcicle Marketing Manager, Kimberly Devitt.
The sleek design mixed with its ultra-cooling abilities provide a solution for an ever-growing problem. One million plastic bottles are bought around the world every minute – and a whopping 91% of all plastic is not recycled, reports Forbes.
The effects of plastics on our ecosystem include poisoning and injuring marine life, littering our beaches and landscapes, and clogging our waste streams and landfills.
The Earth Day Network is focused on dedicating this year’s Earth Day in 2018 to providing info to changing human attitude and behavior about plastics.
All the while, there are 600 million people that currently live without clean and safe water. Most of these families live in remote areas and spend hours searching and collecting dirty water for their families.
We wanted to take Earth Day (celebrated by 192 countries worldwide btw) up a notch this year. Bento and Corkcicle came together to design an exclusive canteen launching the week of Earth Day.
We saw this collaboration as an opportunity to positively impact the good that we together can provide to those less fortunate (two is always better than one amirite?).
This is why we decided that 10% of the profits from these special-edition canteens will go to the Natural Resources Defense Council, a non-profit organization that seeks to protect the basics—air, land, and water—and to defend endangered natural places.
We’re thrilled to work with an innovative crew like Corkcicle who cares about what we’re putting and (more importantly) not putting back into our environment.
Bento truly believes in supporting our community – especially our own neighbors. Corkcicle adheres to the same beliefs.
Corkcicle also works with other local organizations like Orlando Magic, City of Orlando, Disney, Arnold Palmer Invitational, City of Winter Park, and the Winter Park Chamber, shared Devitt.
Devitt also mentioned the company recently partnered with Charity: Water. For every Corkcicle.com order, they will donate 5% of purchases to the organization.
“To date, Charity: Water has already brought clean water to over 8 million people that didn’t previously have it,” Devitt says.
Cheers to a greener tomorrow,
The Bento Fam
